On the presidential inauguration weekend, which will coincide with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Weekend, The Preserving Black Haddonfield History Project encourages families to treat themselves to a healthy dose of thoughtful discourse.
WHO: Experts will gather to shed light on sensitive topics like Economic Opportunity & Wealth Equity, Healthcare Disparities, Civil Rights/Race Relations and other challenges.
Panelists
Kendra Boyd is an Assistant Professor of History at Rutgers University-Camden. Her scholarship focuses on African-American business, racial capitalism, and urban history. She currently serves on the Advisory Committee for the New Jersey Black Heritage Trail.
Dr. Stephanie Navarro Silvera is a Professor in the Department of Public Health at Montclair State University as well as the Acting Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs in the College for Community Health. She is a first-generation college graduate who earned her doctoral degree in Epidemiology from Yale University School of Public Health.
Judge Karen McGlashan Williams is a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, confirmed on November 1, 2021. She offers expertise in civil rights.

P. Kenneth Burns is President of the Society of Professional Journalists-New Jersey Chapter and WHYY’s New Jersey reporter. WHYY is the leading NPR/PBS affiliate serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
